Would this be offensive to Buddhist/Hindu culture?

I have a tattoo of three small dates, reminiscent of the upper ‘enlightenment’ part of a Unalome. I want to add to the tattoo with the rest of this Buddhist symbol, with the three dates acting as the 3 dots at the top. Would changing the classic Unalome symbol in this way be offensive? I’ve studied Buddhism for 2 years and practiced it for a further 2, but my knowledge around the iconography is still limited and the last thing i wish to do is appropriate or offend
