For those of you I haven’t met virtually yet: Hi, my name is RazzzBerries (though often Razzz for short)! I’m going into Year 13 (*insert squeak here*), and this is my Grow Your Grades blog where I'll take you through my journey.

In addition to the academics this year, I’ll be preparing and taking the Law National Admissions Test (LNAT) which is required for some of the unis I’m interested in, attending university open days and doing other extra curricular activities. These include continuing my volunteering at my local Brownie unit and my local library (COVID permitting :s ). All of my life jumble will be squashed into little posts, should you be interested in reading!
If you’re interested in a tag, please pop in the replies and let me know and I can add you to my tag list! I can’t wait to share my journey with you and wish you all a happy academic new year. Go grow your grades, peoples!
Hugs and love, Razzz
P.S Shoutout to @8472 for the name of this year's blog! I've recycled from the list of ideas I got given last year, and this seemed like a good fit for Year 13
hi, can i have a tag pls? I did history and english lit too! although my history was also OCR not Edexcel...
what texts are you doing for English?
Of course you can! Ahhh, I kinda wish there was just one exam board so we could all relate
In the exam: I'm doing the Dystopian Fiction paper, so that's 1984 and A Handmaid's Tale. For Shakespeare, I'm doing Hamlet. The other half is Gothic, so that's A Doll's House and a selection of Christina Rossetti poems.
I've completed all my coursework now, we did that last year. One half was an essay on poems from Elizabeth Bishop and the other half was a comparative essay between A View From A Bridge by Arthur Miller and NW by Zadie Smith.

Ah I did Gothic instead of Dystopia but I think dystopia would have been quite fun! Apparently context is pretty easy for dystopia?
I did A Doll's House and Rossetti poetry too! I think I still have my revision notes (which I wasted so much money printing, and for what cause? ) anyway, if you'd like them, I can send them over

Ahh I see! Yeah, it's not bad since there's been a lot of 'bad things' that have happened in history that you can link to dystopia, or waffle your way there
Ahh no way! That would be amazing, thank you so much! (I'm sorry that you wasted so much time )
