Well its different for everyone. I think it depends on how many times a week u want to do it. Or how quickly u pick up the skills. Or how confident u r. Or how ur instructor teaches, etc.
Ive had like more than 30 lessons i think.:blushing:

I had 24 hours of lessons (12x2 hours)
I did also do a good chunk of driving with family as well.

I dont think their is a set rule, you need to drive until you are safe & competent behind the wheel. for some people its 20 hours for others its 50 or more.

manual.

I would say I think its possible to learn in 20ish hours but that is pretty much the minimum, most people do more. I ended up having to squeeze it in a short amount of time after one driving school double booked me and didnt let me know till last minute.

I had booked a test before learning (which is another story...). So I wouldn't aim or target that many.

I think a lot of it comes down to how quick you and your instructor feel you are test ready....and how you do on the day. A messed up test generally means another 5-10 hours lessons (that's how i got to 40 hours)
