Postgraduate bank accounts / second student accounts

Can you get a new student bank account for a 2 year full time Masters? Have a UCAS letter showing confirmed offer. Santander have stopped doing their post grad account (where the existing undergrad account is). and am struggling to find options that wont require me to pay off my overdraft immediately on completing of my course.

HSBC allow you to open a student account if you're a postgrad. See the section "List of qualifying courses" at https://www.hsbc.co.uk/current-accounts/products/student/

The amount of overdraft available might be limited, though -- so you may need to repay some of your existing overdraft if the bank won't offer enough.

Thanks fo sharing. The problem is the existing overfraft is £2000 so starting at £1000 wouldn't be enough.
