Economics degree

I’m in year 12 and I’m studying economics, maths, politics and chemistry at A level. I’m interested in an economics degree at university. Can anyone recommend wider reading and things to do based on the subject to help my personal statement?

What parts of economics are you interested in? Financial related areas or social etc?
undercover economist is a good starting book to read for econ
Ask the head of department for a reading list for economics and/or your prospective unis, start reading the Economist and look into careers directly linked to economics for work experience and go for programmes such as “Lse Pathways to banking and finance” “Young investment banker” etc
