Accepted LIS offer!

12/01: Probably should add I've applied abroad as well - 3 universities in the Netherlands (currently have an offer from UCV (part of Maastricht) and 12 in the US
04/06: Lmao so my international applications flopped. Got into all 3 in the Netherlands but without any financial aid and 1 acceptance in the US but couldn't afford.

I've firmed Manchester and accepted my LIS offer (LIS isn't on UCAS). Right now definitely leaning more towards Manchester, but things could definitely change over the summer, and I guess I'll be making my final decision in August!

Welcome back, keep_drowning! That is one stunning set of A-level results. Which of those 3 unis are you hottest for this year?

[My UCAS application, and initially this post, stated my final grade to be a C; this was due the 6th form incorrectly telling me the wrong grade on results day 2020 and not bothering to correct their mistake until February 2021 when they sent out my certificates, meaning I didn't have a chance to resit the D. Thanks a lot.]

My school only allows applications to send off in December. However, as I am seriously ahead of the schedule given by my teacher, I have told the school that I will send off my application in October, just after Oxbridge deadline, as I am not applying to Oxbridge. They said OK!

You do realise that you could be still waiting for some decisions until April, don't you?
YOu could just be be put on Hold until they reach you on the ranking list.
And that a 'decision' can also be No? Be careful what you wish for.
Most Unis dont start looking at new applications until October - they are far too busy sorting out this year's applicants. and for most of them this term hasnt actually started yet..

A no is better than waiting for me ahaha, I like planning and I’m well prepared for being rejected. My first choice promises a decision within four weeks of receiving the application. I do realise that this is al true but it’s nice to dream lol

That can also mean being put on Hold.

PS. If all of you are constantly refreshing Track you will rapidly drive yourselves nuts. And this obsession will totally distract you from working on your A levels. You will get a notification if a Uni makes you an offer, so just relax. And btw, 'first one to get an offer' doesnt mean much.

More than aware, however, it's a nervewracking time and a real waiting game!! My school has said the earlier the better, and have frequently had offers made in September!
