Christmas is even more deperssing when your 10,000 miles from home in a country that doesnt celebrate it.

christmas is just all about selling junk that ur never going to use.
u get everyone telling u, what r u buying, what do u think ur getting?
I wouldn't care if i didn't get any presents. i would be happy to know the shops didn't make any money out of me.
there is a whole 'chistmas resistance' campaign: www.xmasresistamce.com

Oh, stop being so depressed and Anti-Christmas. Just enjoy yourselves, please!

Remember, if you feel too old for it, then at least try and make it fun for the teeny weeny little kids....and if there's no kids around, then just do whatever you want, but don't be miserable.

If you have family, eat with them, and have a good time.

If you're a religious Christian, then go to Church, enjoy the service, and greet the people. If not, then go out with some friends and get wasted (note that this also applies to religious Christians as well- I don't want to be discriminating now :O)

If you don't have any friends, then just go out and get wasted regardless.

I'm sure you get the general idea by now

The reason we have christmas with bright lights and cheerfulness is BECAUSE it's so cold and dark and grey at this time of year.

Solstice is passed - from now on the days will be getting longer - that's a good reason to celebrate even if christmas doesn't do it for you

Hey, at least you luckys actually get real snow lol! We get, what: hot weather - topped 30 today  Good for swimming in, however not much chance of snow Well some parts of Aus get that in winter, but still. But you get over it, well I soon did 2day after hearing I'm spending mine at the beach Chrissie BBQ at the coast, ah! Lookn fwd to it
Hi Danni! Unfortunately we don't all get snow...I live on the south-western coast of the UK and have only seen snow twice in my life!! On a completely unrelated but related note...ahem....my friend is travelling in Aus at the moment....so jealous!! hehe

yea it is rather depressing I broke down into tears last night and I just couldnt stop crying. Its so hard to keep up with friends when they all seem to be getting loads and loads of money from their familys, which I used to be the same but now I have moved house to a bigger one than before and my mum just will not give me any more its as though I have already turned 18 and she will not pay for anything. I am finding it soo hard coz I havent got a job and I have been trying for ages and ages to get 1.

anywayz rant over
Merry xmas
