Summer 2022 is my stretch target, but in all likelihood, it'll be summer 2023. I only have a few of hours of study time per day available so I need to make it as effective as possible!

Ahh, do you work full time? It's so hard - I tried to study A Levels in 2018 but I was working 40/50 hrs a week as a waitress, bartender and like three jobs, and nothing really progressed with my studies.

Yep - I 37 hours a week and working from home helps somewhat due to no travelling. I think I can probably study around three hours a day on weekdays and more on the weekend when I’m back in the office, but we’ll see!

Have you registered for your exams? And did you manage to get your practical assessment for Physics done, or is that still something you have to do?

Hey, sorry I only saw this now. Had a rough few weeks, been feeling down and upset about the workload and having to tackle it without teachers. One good thing though, I managed to get a refund for an Access to HE course, so that's a load of weight off my shoulders & I can concentrate on A Level stuff now!

Yes, I'm registered for my exams. That's only because I paid a LOT of money to a DLC (Distance Learning Centre) Open Study College so I'm sorted for my exams and practicals. I wouldn't recommend OSC though - the booklets they provide are pretty useless, and the tutors will only answer questions that you have directly from the booklets -_- So I'm using every other resource I can find.

My practicals are next year, around Easter time.
An update!

I went through a bit of a hopeless period for a week and a bit, but I'm now back to studying

I'm not putting pressure on myself to do 8 hour study days, but I made myself a fancy lil spreadsheet thing to keep myself on track & at least now I can clearly see when and how I'm behind.

Something I've learnt! I think it's more about getting through the content, as opposed to trying to do a set number of hours in a day/week, as it can leave you feeling incapable whenever you don't meet your target.

AND A BIG ONE
I don't think I want to do engineering anymore! :O My brain is naturally creative and finds this analytical math-y stuff much harder. So instead, I want to study dental hygiene instead and go for a foundation course, I think I'll be happier because it'll be less taxing for me and it's a field I'm also interested in

@Chopinnocturne31

You're doing soo well!! It must be really difficult getting through everything on your own but I know you can do it :woohoo: I agree that you shouldn't put too much pressure on yourself to do a certain number of hours. Just do as much as you can and enough to finish the course and you will do great  That's so cool that you decided on dental hygiene!!! I'm applying for dentistry! Where are you thinking of applying to?
Aww @Chopinnocturne31
That's so cool! I want to do the foundation course at Essex or Plymouth, as they don't ask for Biology or Chemistry A Levels and they aren't picky about GCSEs. What about you?

Yesss so my biggest fear is that I'll be at A grade for 70% of the the material, but don't have the time to cover the other 30% and therefore come out with a D, or fail or something! I'm such a bloody perfectionist which is a pain

Hey, how is it going/ how did it go in the end?
SO YOU GUYS.
I ended up moving out of that (toxic, difficult-to-study-in) home. I moved randomly, to wherever I could find a job, and that happened to be Oxford! So I worked full time as a trainee dental nurse - and didn't like it! (Since then I've had like 3 jobs lol)

Sooo. I found my true passion is music & now I'm pursuing that <3 while working as a receptionist! Yay to listening to your heart, and your dreams, Disney-style xx
