Can I switch to a placement year on the same course?

Yeah you would just have to tell your uni before uni starts as the placement year is usually optional.

Hi I completed my first year in a course for Business Management. And I have a question on whether or not I can switch into a placement year for my course before second year starts. And If my university would allow this?

Hi @Ozan232I am Millie, a recent graduate in Business Management with a placement year. In my experience, the university within our first week of second year asked if anyone would be interested in swapping to either a placement year or international year as they would have to undertake certain modules to be eligable for this. I did but no reply. Will it take long? I heard some people never got a response till a month. I have my student finance deadline in less than a month. Also, in the second year or the first year, is there a chance that the uni will allow me to do a placement year if I ask even though I’m studying for 3 years not 4?
