Personally, I found History hard, if you really do love writing essays and learning loads of content off by heart, then History is for you. But I couldn’t stand it

Maybe a bit late but I did both history and geography...
First of all, why don't you want to do geography anymore? Do you not find it interesting? Is it the teacher, the amount of content or something else?
It's worth it if you think you're likely to do better in history or you're thinking of doing a history or history related degree. I personally found history a lot harder than geography.
Depends on your school, I think mine said they might consider you if you hadn't done gcse history but got a 6 in English lit. It will be a lot harder to take on history at A level if you haven't done the gcse.

History A Level is really enjoyable but there is a lot of content to learn! However if you enjoy essay writing and it suits well with your other subjects, then I don’t see why not
