BTEC courses help in some ways, however, I would recommend Year 11's to take BTEC if they know exactly what they want. Otherwise, just pick A-levels as it gives you a wide range of choices on what you want to do with your career.

Lots of people dont have the choice.
BTEC suits some people more than others in particular if they prefer coursework to exams.

Yeah, a lot of people don't get the opportunity to do A-levels, which is a shame really.
