Though nothing is 100% clear or certain during these times, if we go based off of standard exam protocols, once you retake an exam, your previous grade is no longer accepted, even if you got lower in your resit. Your resit result, regardless of the grade will be your current and official grade.

Hope this helps.
May I ask for a link? As im confused most people say both are valid while others say no
"What happens if I take an autumn exam but I get a worse grade than my calculated one?
If you decide to take your exams and you get a lower mark than your calculated one, you’ll get to keep the higher grade. This means there’s no risk attached to taking the exam.
Anyone can request a replacement certificate from their exam board that only shows the higher of their two grades.
The exam boards will have to provide this, but they will be allowed to charge an additional fee."
Im confused which one is true? Ive been searching for hours now, my marks from A level from the may june 2020 series is ABB and im planning to retake chemistry and physics in oct nove series 2020 and im currently applying for universities with those marks. If I resit will these marks be invalid?

You get whichever one is higher. You will not get lower than ABB.
