Are you sure you don't have it turned to the bell instead of the diaphragm?

Has one of your friends bunged up your ear pieces or tubes with cotton wool as a joke? (Apparently people do this before Finals lol).

Beyond that, I have no idea. Maybe get one of your friends to have a look in your ears with an otoscope?

This is probably a good idea. You can sometimes hear your own heartbeat in your ears when they are blocked with wax.
