Desogestrel and periods

I’ve been on the mini pill for nearly two years now but since January my periods have been 9 days long and much more regular. Between now and the 25th of July I’ve had 5 periods between 9 and 12 days long is this normal? I’m having breaks between periods of about 3-4 days then it restarts

that pill either stops bleeding, makes it irregular or you get a normal cycle so unfortunately, you are one of the unlucky ones it seems, you could speak to your doctor and try a different mini pill?
It's not unusual for periods to be irregular for the first 6 months but they usually settle down after that. It's probably nothing to worry about but best to discuss with your GP.
