What's your budget, and what software do you intend to use?

I think they give us Sony Vegas pro and I’d like to spend under £800

I'd have a look at this ASUS for £800. It has a good CPU(AMD Ryzen 5 4500U), and GPU(NVIDIA MX250), a really good screen, and is really light at 1.1kgs.

I'll also note that I've written a guide here if it helps:

After reading your guide I think I might lower the price and look for a laptop that’s around 500-600 and save abit of money.

Is there any laptops around 500 that you recommend?

My go-to recommendation for most people is the Lenovo Ideapad 5 £530 as it has good performance, is fairly light at 1.4kgs, and is fairly well priced for what it is.

Alternatively, there's this S540 for £600, which has dedicated graphics which will improve performance for video editing.
