The question is what- is it helpful to work experience or have no experience? Of course it would be beneficial to have done something professional with your time, for your personal experience, for job and academic applications...

I would say it would definitely be beneficial. Any sort of related work experience coupled with a degree (if you're going to uni) or whatever qualification will stand out on a CV and give you more connections, which are invaluable after uni.

Hi Askme 1236

I agree with the other posters that it is beneficial! I would definitely recommend trying to get something relevant to the degree that you're looking at studying as this will be able to help you with confirming that the decision you've made is the correct one. I personally did a placement year as part of my degree (as I didn't take a gap year) and lots of universities recommend trying to get as much experience as possible to help you stand out in the job market after you graduate.

Best of luck!
