Hi,
During my time at uni I will be cohabiting with my partner who earns around £17,500 annually. I was not planning on working during my time at university so I could focus and thought my maintenance loan would help me out. But when I have received my letter it says my maximum Maintenance Loan is £4,283 annually. Am I entitled to more and if so how do I go about it?
TIA xxx

How old are you? Are you married/a parent/orphaned/estranged from your parents/have 3 years financial independence?

You've been awarded the basic loan amount - whether you're eligible for more will depend on your household income. Who is considered to be your household will depend on whether you're classed as dependant on your parents or not (see questions above).
It takes 4-8 weeks for SFE to assess household income - once they do that they'll adjust your loan upwards if you household income is low.

Your income as the student applying for finance isn't included in any household income calculations.
