I currently work part time but my job contract says my resignation notice period is 4 weeks? I’m desperate to leave the job but I know people say it’s easier to get another job whilst you’re employed and it’s been difficult to find jobs during this pandemic. This is why I’m still working. I’ve seen a job advertisement and I’m going to apply I’m just worried that if I tell the employer my resignation period is 4 weeks they’ll be put off hiring me? Anyone give me any advice please!

Employers understand about notice periods, so still apply and if you are successful you work out your contract. You don't know that other jobs you are applying for don't have the same period and that the person you could be replacing is having to do the same.
