I would like to go into teaching but the salary in switzerland appeals to me more than uk. But when I tried to research this online, most of the info I find it regarding teaching languages instead of other subjects. Is it possible to teach subjects like Biology or Chemistry in these countries, given that you can speak their languages. I am currently on a gap year before uni. I am considering doing a biochemistry degree. I have fairly competitive alevels and GCSEs.

I would assume that if you're looking to teach in Switzerland, the best thing to do is move to Switzerland and then apply for teacher training there.

This page seems to have information about how it works over there: https://swisseducation.educa.ch/en/t...n-and-training

It seems based on your other threads that you're still not sure about what career you want after uni, which is fine. I'd advise at least doing your first year of university before trying to get into detailed decisions like whether you would teach abroad, especially if you're not even set on teaching yet.

Thank you for sharing that. And yes I am trying to explore other careers. I just feel so conflicted at times. I want to do a job I like but then the pay or large amounts of stress/working hours sometimes put me off. Both of my parents don't earn very well and I watched them sacrifice a lot for me so I wouldn't want to live like that in the future.
