Hi, I have applied for a part-time student loan, for a BSc (Hons) Mathematics degree with the open university. My student loan application was submitted in July (15/07) and after many calls and online chats I received an email tonight (16/09) that says "As the qualification you'll get from your new course is the same level as the qualification you already hold you can't get a Tuition Fee Loan for your new course."

I have a first degree in Psychology, and I applied for a part-time loan for a part-time course which is in the exception courses (Mathematical Sciences). Why am I getting this outcome?
