If just donated a tenth of that to me it would be quite nice. He would barely notice it

Correct. So he doesn't earn $200 million a day. However, if the value of Amaxon goes up by $1 billion in 5 days, his wealth goes up by $200 million a day.

No. Its not the same thing. My net worth in terms of wealth is probably about £200k. However £120k of that is the difference between what my house is worth and my mortgage and the rest is my pension. If I needed £200k tomorrow, could I get hold of that money? No chance.

Being paid in cash and the amount of wealth you have in assets are very different things. Bezos is worth billions but he doesn't have billions in cash he could spend tomorrow and if he did, he would be taxed to death.

But I agree. He is onto a winner and probably doesn't worry about having starters and pudding on a meal out.
