Just curious, I've noticed you can't really 'un-rep' a post. Is there a reason for this or is it just how the rep button works?

Once a rep has been bestowed there are no take-backs.

Half my rep would cease to exist if people woke up to how stupid the jokes were anyway.

The rep towards the person's rep amount ( obviously ). It would be silly for TSR to let you unrep the person as then they would lose rep...
