What subject are you doing?
What is making you think about making the switch?

An Ordinary degree isn't really any use for degree purposes except in Scotland. In England and Wales you need an honours degree for graduate roles, unless no-one spots the issue. So do you want to use the degree?

You are too late to transfer with OU this year so would have to wait til next year to begin anyway.

If you have an ordinary degree you can apply to do the top-up degree which is 4 modules at level 3.
If you stop your degree now then apply for credit transfer you arenโ€™t Guaranteed that all your credits will be able to be transferred over to a named degree so you may have to sit some level 2 modules also.

But yes, if you can go for an honours degree then do it.
