Hai everyone, I want to ask you, should I apply for LSE and Sciences Po masters program even though my GPA ended as 3.49? (Which is 0.01 point lower than their minimum requirement)I’m at one of the prestige private University in Japan. And due to Japanese school year, I am applying masters degree in abroad during the first semester of my seiner year. My GPA now is 3.49 and I’m going to apply masters now. LSE and Sciences Po have their minimum requirement for GPA 3.5. Now I’m skeptical wether I can get in or not and do you think it’s better to look for other University? ( I’ve done exchange in Hungary and Philippines. Conducted research in Thailand. Attended importance conference in Luxembourg. Received Academic Excellent Award three times through bachelors program) I have one more semester left, and maybe I can write personal statement that “I willImprove my GPA score”??

Yes, you should apply, but don't rely on them.
I mean, what would you loose if applying for them? Nothing.
But be realistic, do you have the same experiences and skills of anothers candidates or do you stands out?

I'm not a personal statement specialist, but I think you should focus on what you have to offer, your skills and abilities. Which academic or professional thinks were you doing while your grades decreased? Don't use your personal statement to say sorry to admissions office.

Thank you for your reply! I am eligible to apply for LSE and Sciences Po except for the grades. i think my experiences of exchange in Hungary and Philippines, research in Thailand (I went to all of them as scholarship student), and three times academic awards will stands out. I am still pretty nervous but i will give a try to apply LSE and Sciences Po!
