I am doing arithmetic gradient series numericals, and I got confused in the numbers of years, I have described my problem below.

[https://imgur.com/a/FSxJEWJ](https:/...com/a/FSxJEWJ) So, you see $500 is base amount and $100 is gradient. I want to convert Gradient-->Amount, like this-: [https://imgur.com/a/Gmx7Mc7](https:/...com/a/Gmx7Mc7) What I can't understand is author takes time n=10 for Gradient. like this-: [https://imgur.com/a/9sZ7tjq](https:/...com/a/9sZ7tjq) I think the time for gradient-->Amount should be only 9 years, as the base amount is already added. Why is it taken as 10 years? Any idea?
