i guys. I have just started year 12 and i have had an opportunity to do EPQ.
I don’t know if i should do it- i am doing 2 a levels ( philosophy and ethics & sociology) and one btec (health and social care). I feel like i have quite a lot of free time so maybe i can do an EPQ??

Is EQP worth it in general?

Where do you intend to apply?
What course do you intend to apply for?
What grades do you think you might get/ aiming for?

Whether its worth it, then it depends.

How is this relevant?
For the OP to ask the question on there and others to share their experience with OP.

There are some applicants on there who had the EPQ.

There are applicants all over the board who have done it. Its not Cambridge specific. Just seemed a strange link..

Yes, there are, but the point was to get their question answered by people who probably are or were in the same position.

Two A levels and a BTEC sounds enough work to me - I would wait a bit and see how the work picks up as this term gets going, unless your school are forcing you to make a decision now.

Well you could always start an EPQ and then give it up if the workload gets too heavy.

As to whether it's worth it, that depends on the unis you apply to because some of them give you a slightly better offer with a high grade in an EPQ but others don't. So check out some uni websites to see if the unis that appeal to you seem to care about the EPQ. Even if they do it is arguably easier to concentrate on getting better grades in your main subjects, so it's not an easy decision.
