Pictures! some of it is awful some isn't.
That is a bit cheap but it should be the effort and thought that counts.. saying that.. you obviously didn't put much effort in if you couldn't be bothered going shopping!

It's from Argos...so probably, yeah.
I don't really think so, but if you were going to spend £100 I probably would have gone to H Samuels or something or a proper jewellers and just bought one expensive item.

However, if it was nice and the fact you'd spend that mich on me would be appreciated
To be quite honest with you, if my boyfriend bought me anything from Argos as a present, I'd be bitterly disappointed.

I'd be gutted if he bought me jewellery from Elizabeth Duke. But then saying that, he'd bloody well know not to buy me anything from there long before it was present buying time lol.
Yeah you should have bought just one more expensive thing. It is a bit chavvy, i suppose some of its okay. Wouldn't pick it myself though but i think if a guy i liked bought it for me i would be quite happy especially as they'd bought so much.

There is nothing wrong with Elizabeth Duke jewellery!
It's the thought that counts, and you've bought her something that you think she'll like, so I doubt she'll be dissapointed!
The thought that counts??? 'Oh, I'll grab the nearest Argos catalogue because I cannot be arsed to actually go into town to buy my girlfriend a birthday present I know she'll love'. Yeah, that's a thought and a half isn't it.
Prepare to be single tomorrow night.

I'd cry if someone thought they were buying that for me as a classy gift.
The whole fact its from argos seems like a bit eugh,

Depends what it looks like really
Quality over quantity.

You could have got something quite nice and special for £100.

Whats everyone getting all worked up about?
So what if he looked in the argos catalogue for his girlfriends birthday present, he doesnt have to go trekking everywhere if there really is no need.
I dont understand why people think Elizabeth Duke is chavvy?...whats so chavvy about it?

what do you define as chavy jewellery?
I'd prefer the money over £100 worth of Argos jewellery.

I've just spent £100 on Elizabeth Duke jewellery for my girlfriend, but after speaking to another friend they have said it is a really chavvy brand that reeks of cheapness (to be fair, I did buy 8 separate items for £100). Is this so, because I really didn't want to have to go trekking to the high street or something, and so just found a load of stuff in the Argos catalogue.

It's my girlfriend's b'day tomorrow!

perfect solution, you've only got tonight to sort it out so go through your mums or sisters room to find some better looking boxes and put them in there

as long as the jewellery is pretty it wont matter once its on or out of the box, its just those boxes...
or paint the boxes black, then itll look like some sort of limited edition elizabeth duke, so a bit better.

i think it just the fact that they sell jewellery in a catalogue shop mean people think it would be trashy.
but if you put some things they sell in Elizabeth Duke in a H Samuel window no one would think 'omg chavyy'.

but if you have time tomorrow morning i would go and take it back and swap it for one really nice piece from somewhere else.
Stop being so snobby about argos everyone - he's trying!

If it looks nice and suits her, then it's fine.
If you brought her 3 pairs of massive hoops for £1 then it's chavvy, but otherwise it's fine.

I'm sure she'll love it
