does anyone have any wider reading on Receptors research. this is what ideas she gave us, if anyone can help that would be great

Research ideas:

Difference in eye receptor cells in species - complete a comparison in terms of structure/function and link to survival
Types of receptors that are only prevelant in a small number of species - why?
Diseases that affect receptors specifically, impact that this would have on the body and possible treatments.
Recent advancements in neurological research concerning receptors

I think the idea of research is that you find it yourself? Wikipedia is a helpful resource, a good start for the eye question might be here, for example.
