Core Maths or EPQ?

Hi everyone. Im in Y14 doing Y13 Drama and Media (English literature finished last year) and have been enrolled to do an EPQ. Now Core Maths is also an option to do as well. I don't think I could do them both at the same time. Would Core Maths help me diversify my options in comparison to an EPQ? Its worth mentioning that I got a 5 in maths at GCSE due to bad mental health which led to me being dropped from higher to foundation.

What are your plans after leaving school?
Depends on you. But EPQ seems to be more recognised to universities (they might reduce a grade for the entry requirement of the course you're doing). You also get more UCAS points. I did Core Maths - I didn't get the best grade (I got a C) but I did enjoy it :smile:.

I'm not too sure to be honest. I didn't have a plan when repicking my 2 subjects so I'm just trying to make my options afterwards a bit more broader.
