Can someone please explain this question to me:

Which is the stronger acid, propanoic acid (1.35 x 10-5 mol dm3
) or propenoic acid (5.50 x 10-5 mol dm3
)?

Thanks

I am assuming that the 2 numbers are the Ka values. So the smaller the number the weaker the acid. Propenoic acid is a stronger acid than propanoic acid since the Ka is bigger.

The Ka tells us where the equilibrium lies for each of the acid. The bigger the number the greater the amount of acid that has dissociated so more H+ ions are present in the solution so the acid is stronger.
