use cosine rule to find the length. Then use the formula:1/2 a*b*sinc to find the area, and add both the triangles.

Use the sine rule to find another side in the non-right angled triangle - I can't check what you did because I can't see all of it.

Not sure what the first few lines are about ....

hi that all that was in my answer box it was just spaced out for some reason but how shall i use the sine rule

Hi, sorry for the late message,

for the other non-right angled triangle, cosine rule is not needed. Angle DCB is 98 {180-44+38} from there you need sin rule to find the small b ( the side opposite B). Replace the letter D with C and C with A.
[a/sin A = b/Sin b]
10/sin98 = b/sin38.
so: b= 10/sin98*sin38
Then use the formula 1/2 a*b*sin c.
