I feel really uncomfortable at sixth form

I'm in year 13 and I still don't feel settled into sixth form. I came from a different school in year 12 with a couple of people who I knew but I feel really left out and out of place. I've been off school for a couple of days and I cant stop thinking that no one has even noticed I havent been there. Im quite shy so I obviously dont want to be the centre of attention or even be popular but I feel like I should have made really good friends with some people by now! Does anyone else feel like this?

I can imagine thats the case, but you need to push your boundaries and try to socialise.
They are probably quite cliquey as most of them will know each other, so imo your fallback is get some outside social activities.
Maybe get a couple of people you can eat lunch with or take music and a book.

This year is going to go very fast its 9 months, so tbh I would be focusing on studies, By Christmas you should start thinking about revision so you almost have no time to get lonely. Uni is a better place as most likely you wont see many of these students again. I am not saying dont try, just dont worry about it too much.

Try looking at books like for making friends skills.

Yeah when I sit with my group I feel really out of place and I know we are just different people but I just kinda stuck with them bc I knew them? There are a couple of girls who ive spoken to a bit so I think im gonna try and sit with them like at lunch. And yeah ive started revising and im gonna try and do more work in my frees so that Im not stressing out about being on my own, I honestly can't wait till uni x
I’ve just joined a new school for Sixthform and I’m in year 12 so I know how it feels. I also feel out of place as friendship are already established and no one really knows me. Just go and speak to new people as that’s what I’ve done and it’s worked really well. Most people have welcomed me whereas some girls were a bit rude and b****y to me aha. However, because you’re in year 13, I wouldn’t worry about friends and people too much as revision is the top priority. You’ve got less than a year left until you leave sf so then you’ll have a fresh start at uni
