I do it as a hobby

Lockdown allowed me to get out on my bike more, but it also meant I couldn't go on any cycle tours which I do with friends most years...

So what kind of Tours do you do?

Living in Switzerland I have started ticking off all the large passes here. So many that I have a lot to go but it is a great goal to aim for.

We usually just choose a city or location as our ‘hub’ and will do a different from there each day, the only ‘proper tour’ I have done is around the countryside in the Rupublic of Ireland.

I would quite like to do Spain’s south coast tour one summer
As a part time hobby yes. Not far away from my house is a outdoor cycling track. I used to cycle there as a child.

But not anymore? What happened, just not into it anymore? I would love to try track cycling, but I am not very explosive, though I did improve my 1-30 second power output quite a bit this year.

Does anyone cycle here? As in for a hobby, not to commute, or for racing?

Very rarely. If I do, it is a part of my fitness training. I am not a passionate cycling guy.

I got ill and then life got in the way. I may try it again next summer.
