Generally universities are very socially liberal and open to all.
I dont know specifically about trent but id guess it would class itself as LGBT+ friendly.

Trent certainly publicly is sending an inclusive message:

I’m in UoN and people seem friendly so far, haven’t experienced the city yet (only been here 4 days)

Hi there!:h:

It's so wonderful to see that so many people are asking these kinds of questions this year! As someone who identifies as LGBT+, I can tell you that those I have worked/studied with have been nothing but inclusive and kind. I've always felt such a sense of community here at NTU and have made so many friends starting from my first year, right up to now.

NTU has an LGBT+ society (https://www.trentstudents.org/groups/ntu-pride) who are so so lovely and are always looking for new members. As well as this there are staff training programs and policy in place to protect those who identify as LGBT+

As for Nottingham City, I feel that me and my friends haven't really run into any trouble surrounding our sexuality and gender, and Notts Pride is always incredible!

I really hope this answers your question/s, but please do feel free to get back in touch if you'd like any more information!

Thank you, and I hope you have a lovely day,
Liz
