Do any law students or lawyer have any advice for someone aspiring to be a lawyer? I would really love to be a lawyer but no one I know is one and my school focuses on the sport and music side of education.
Thanks

It's a long hard road and you have to be very determined. It starts with good A Levels, realistically at least ABB. There are no preferred subjects but it helps if you take at least one subject that involves essay writing. History is one of the best.

Here's a short introduction that you might find useful:

Just to add to this - Universities and Law Firms are becoming more accepting towards A-level equivalents now too, so that's always another option if you didn't wish to pursue A-levels. That being said, you'd still have to perform well.

Just get good grades, then get into the best uni you can.
When you get work experience focus on good communication skills and giving advice.
Become good at researching and understanding the full path to progress i.e what happens when.
Get good grades.

There are various websites and diversity-promoting charities out there.

Lots of 'my journey' style blogs, too.
