Views on Bath for Chemistry?
Hi there,

I am a current NatSci student at Bath, and I took several units via chemistry in first and second year, so hopefully I can help

Firstly, you may find this video from the Chemistry department helpful, as it gives an idea of the different chemistry courses we offer. With regards to the straight chemistry course, the Bath course is great in that you have your core modules, but there's also a bunch of really interesting optional modules for you to choose from, such as chemistry of everyday life. The facilities are great at Bath, and you get to do a range of labs (including computational labs). In my experience, the staff in the chemistry department are always really helpful and responsive, and they have frequent feedback sessions/forms so they can see how they improve.

That is just a general overview, but if you have any specific things you want to know about the course or the university, please do let me know

Jessica, a final year NatSci student

Should there be a new university admissions system that ditches predicted grades?

No, I think predicted grades should still be used to make offers (631)
Yes, I like the idea of applying to uni after I received my grades (PQA) (789)
Yes, I like the idea of receiving offers only after I receive my grades (PQO) (372)
I think there is a better option than the ones suggested (let us know in the thread!) (84)
