I'm having a little trouble picking someone for my secondary reference.
I was going to use my line manager at my current role as when we have our one to one video meetings she says she's happy with my work and everything, so I know I'd get a good reference. The thing is though, I've only been employed at this company for one month, and because we're home working my manager obviously doesn't really know me so personally.
My second option is an old college tutor who knew me well and knew that I really wanted to teach. Obviously he's an old reference, since I finished college in 2016, but he knew me for 2 years and was well aware of my passion to teach.
I'm just wondering which people would suggest I use?

Hello sdfghjklvfdfdfs
The purpose of the reference is for someone from a professional background to comment on your suitability of working with young people.
The first or 'primary' reference must be an employer or academic who's taught you, but the second ref may be more of a character reference. Have you got any experience relevant to teaching (school observations/tutoring/working with young people) where you may seek a reference?
Further, do you have a Teacher Training adviser? These are fully qualified teachers, who are also expert in the application process for teacher training courses. If you'd like one, register here.
All the best, Jane
