Stock is pretty hit and miss right now I'm afraid. If you're able to get hold of one, something like this Lenovo or this HP would be ideal for you. Either one, or something similar would be a good choice.

Failing that, this Dell Inspiron is an excellent pick. £600 is a bit above your budget, but if you get student discount you can bring that down to £570 which is pretty close.

You mention that weight isn't an issue, you may have some luck looking at 15.6 laptops if you're also a bit flexible on screen size.
