£300 back pack to wear at home in your room because all the travelling you'll be doing this year is from your bed to your laptop.

If you’re rich and £300 is pocket money to you then it’s fine. If I was rich I’d probably buy a Chanel bag for uni but if you’re not rich then it is too much

And a backpack is something you’re gonna put on everyday either for uni or groceries or whatever so it’s not entirely a waste of money

Yes a stupid amount as makes you a target for thieves.
I would go for functional and one that blends or is relatively non descript.

Apart from the obvious dent in your wallet, it will also make for a good target to get robbed.

If you have to ask, I'm not sure you have the life awareness skills to be going to uni just yet.

If I had 10 million in my bank then sure, that's what I'd pay if it's good quality.

Uh...

I literally used an old laptop bag (like a briefcase) and I was sincerely complimented by like 60% of the people on my course. Some people on campus even randomly came up to me and complimented me too!

The laptop bag cost like £15

£300 is honestly way too much. People literally go to lectures/tutorials in their pyjamas (not sure £300-worth pyjamas...). This happens at Edinburgh, Oxford, etc.
