Postgraduate degree classification

Bachelor degrees has the following classification: 1st, 2:1, 2:2, 3rd, pass

How about postgraduate degrees. How are they graded/classified?

PhD: Pass or Fail.

Masters: Distinction, Pass or Fail.

Ok then. It's just like a HND/HNC and foundation degree classification.

Exeter do Distinction, Merit, Pass, Compensatable Fail, Fail

Oxford Brookes do Distinction, Pass, Fail

PGCE is on a Pass/Fail basis, but you get a transcript with a final percentage
on (its not on the certificate)

Oxford do Fail, Pass, Merit and Distinction for masters degrees i think - my friend got a merit for her Epidemiology masters a few years back while another got a distinction. Knowing Oxford though this might not be an across the board thing - they like their faculty-dependent crazyness!
