Biomed, neuroscience, genetics, pharmacology, immunology.. the list goes on. If you don't want to specialise just yet go into a biomed or medical sciences degree but I personally chose a neuroscience degree bc I knew it was for me

As mentioned above, there are general courses (biological sciences, biomedical sciences, biochemistry) and more specific courses (genetics, neuroscience, pharmacology). These would largely be for lab based work (although there is increasingly a demand for more translational work that combines clinical and lab). That being said there is lab work that is essential for clinical research (someone needs to perform the measurements on biological samples, for example).
