Personally I can distinctly differentiate between spring and mineral water and definitely tap water. To me mineral water tastes slightly bitter, tap water has a hint of chemical taste and spring water is bland with no aftertaste.

I was curious as to other people's experiences.

Can you taste the difference between mineral, spring and tap water?

I am interested to hear other people's thoughts and discussion!

I’ve never knowingly had mineral water so can’t comment on that one, but I can taste a difference between tap and spring water

Don't think I've ever had spring water, or at least not had water marketed as spring water (I have literally drank from springs before, but... you get what I mean!)

That being said if you can't tell the difference between the stuff that comes out of the taps in Manchester and the silky crisp juices of an untouched aquifer, then you have issues.

Maybe pick up some Volvic at Asda for 50p to try it. I find that although there's a slightly bitter aftertaste, it's somewhat pleasant.

Mineral and spring water both taste different but have a very generic taste. Tap water, on the other hand... I live 30 miles from my parents, but still in the same county - and my tap water tastes different to my parents'.

I can tell the difference between tap water and bottles water. Not sure between mineral/spring water though. I don't take much notice what it is when I buy bottled water.
