is it strange that I'm a grown 17 year old but I'm crying at the thought of leaving home in 3 days after a 6 -month COVID break?

No, it's not at all strange. This is a historical event- it is an extremely stressful and emotionally difficult time for so many people, probably most people. Loads and loads of people- myself included (I'm 20)- are feeling more emotionally fragile and sensitive than normal. Thinking of you, good luck with leaving home :console:

No, I mean we all find it hard to leave home for the first time, you're not alone in that.
