Do I need a visa to study abroad as an Erasmus student?
Should hopefully be studying abroad in Gothenburg in January, but as a British citizen will I need to apply for a visa? I am on the Erasmus exchange programme but as the transitionary period for Brexit ends on the 31st December, will this mean I need a visa?
We are not completely sure yet, the concept of a visa does exist, there has also been talk of UK visa waiver by potential 'tourists' etc registering through some online EU Schengen pre-travel portal, for twenty euros or quid. Dunno!
I have, as UK person living in EU, registered at my local town Hall as a 'UK person but with permanent right to live in EU' a certificate that I don't need today, but might need in 2 months time.
I suggest as something positive for you to do, is get a physical formal letter of invitation, signed, stamped by someone in Sveriges.
