Virtual Open Days - What are they and why should you sign up?

Events over the last few months have meant that, sadly, we have not been able to welcome prospective students, their family and friends onto our beautiful campuses.

At Hope, however, we are still working hard to ensure that you have the chance to learn more about us, and engage with our staff and students - just like you would at our physical Open Days. That is why we have a number of Virtual Open Days coming up over the next few months.

What is a Virtual Open Day?

A Virtual Open Day is exactly what it sounds like - an Open Day, but online!

We have a number of academic presentations and student Q&As lined up over Zoom, as well as Virtual campus tours. So, it is easier than ever to engage with our staff and students, ask questions, and view our facilities - from the comfort of your own home! :cyber:

Why should I attend a Virtual Open Day?

Unsure whether a Virtual Open Day is for you? Here are just a few reasons why you should consider attending:

1. It is easier than ever to engage with us. As our Open Days are fully virtual at the moment, it is really easy to join in with one of our Open Days. You do not need to travel, worry about the weather, or even get dressed. All you need to do is sign up, click on the Zoom links, and you’re all sorted!

2. Speak to our academics. There are two talks per day for each department, meaning you have lots of chances to listen in. Our talks are also set up as Zoom webinars, meaning you are able to use the Q&A function to ask our academics anything you want to. Worrying about putting your hand up in front of a group is now a thing of the past!

3. Chat with our students. We also have a great bunch of Student Ambassadors available to answer your questions throughout the day - either through our Student and Accommodation Q&As, or within the academic talks. Therefore, it is super easy to get a sense of what it is like to study at Hope and live in Liverpool!

4.It is all in one place. Once you sign up for a Virtual Open Day, you will gain access to our Virtual Open Day Portal - a one stop shop where you can access all of the talks on the day as well as further information.

5. Keep in touch. Following on from a Virtual Open Day it is really simple to keep in touch with us. Many of our talks are recorded, meaning you can access them at a later date (upon request). You can also sign up to receive further communications from us, or keep in touch via: Unibuddy, email, and telephone.

How do I sign up?

We have a number of Virtual Open Days coming up over the next few months. They will be taking place on:

Saturday 21st November

Wednesday 9th December
