my back tooth is turning blue?!!

I was brushing my teeth earlier and noticed that one of my back teeth is turning blue?! There's no pain. Generally my teeth appear to be in good condition, i've never had a filling, and i clean them twice daily..
i had trouble with my wisdom teeth and had them removed but other than that i've had no dental problems at all.

i'm a little worried - i've got an appointment to see a dentist but it's not for another 7 weeks!! Any one experienced something similar and can put my mind at rest???
7 weeks???..thats too much..
why dont you try rinsing your mouth with warm salt water..this can help for the mean time

I'd book an earlier appointment. Your Dentist must have appointments earlier

If its light blue, its probably acid erosion and so your enamel has worn away...
That happened to one of my friends, the nerves in her tooth died. Go see your dentist!
yes you need to see a dentist quicker than 7 weeks, that could well be that the nerve has died which won't cause pain at first, but infection will set in and then you will really know about it if you have an abcess....they can treat it with a root canal if its caught early, which will save the tooth, but if you leave it then it will need extracting
Oooo this is interesting - never knew a tooth/teeth could go blue . . . .:s-smilie:

OP, like others have mentioned 7weeks is far too long to wait - ring up again and tell the receptionist that its important and it cannot wait 7weeks.
Sounds like it could turn nasty  I'd ring up and ask for an earlier, emergency appointment.
Yep, could be dying. I have one at the back like that. It was root canal'd.
I got an orthodontic ring around my two back teeth and they where blue and I needed a filling☹️
discoloration perhaps? What toothpaste were you using?
