Is that average of applicants or average of successful applicants?
Reply 3
successful, try the mock test on the website, it tells you at the end of it

last year, I got 67% which they put me in the 50th percentile of all applicants (not all successful applicants), according to my feedback.

Edit: for the Dec 2007 test, obv.

Do all the colleges ask for TSA?
Reply 6
TSA is only asked for certain courses at certain colleges.

Only these courses ask for it:
G400 Computer Science
L100 Economics
H100 Engineering
KL41 Land Economy
BCF0 Natural Sciences (Physical and Biological)
V500 Philosophy
LL32 Social and Political Sciences (SPS)

Depending on which course you are doing some colleges may ask for you to do a TSA and others may not.

For Engineering I know that most colleges ask for you to take the test. Some colleges will go through the paper with you at the interview process whereas others may not.

You can view a good report on the success of applicants based on their TSA scores here: http://www.admissionstests.cambridgeassessment.org.uk/adt/digitalAssets/103046_Predicting_Degree_Performance_with_the_TSA_-_report_1__24-04-06_.pdf

Other reports are available on the TSA site here: http://www.admissionstests.cambridgeassessment.org.uk/adt/tsacambridge/research

For some colleges in Cambridge (Clare, Selwyn), they require 'preparatory study at interview'. What exactly is that?

Typically before your interview you'll be given e.g. an article to read through and think about, then you'll be asked about it/discuss it in your interview.
