Wondering if there is going to be a 2021 TSP with COVID and all
But Civil service fast stream is open so it looks promising!

Lets wait and hope we get a chance this year

Hi,

thanks for notifying. I got 69% this time around. Im pretty sure last year the judgment test was my worst test of the 3 by far. got 84% in the numerical reasoning and 70 something in the verbal reasoning whereas I got something like 54% in this test. Massive improvement for me this time around. I am pretty sure with 71% you will be okay. again though it is scored in percentile ranges so the more people that do the test will affect how difficult it is to score in a percentile range as it is relative to previous scores for this cohort

Does it say 71% more than others or just 71%

I think its just 71. So performed in the top 29% of people who took the test. Been invited to verbal reasoning now

Ok thanks so I did the initial sift test and it says you have scored better than 69% of people who took the test, you have met the minimum requirements but the application is on hold😢😢When were you invited for the verbal reasoning

I got the email this morning after completing on it Friday I believe. Don't worry, you got the exact same score as me. You should get an update in next couple of days. Just check junk email and login to civil service to be sure.
The second set of tests (numerical reasoning, verbal reasoning and work strengths tests) should take place 20-27 November. Not certain exactly when you'll be informed if you've met the standard to go forward to that second round though.

Hi,
i have recieved an email on sat 17th saying that i have been invited to complete the civil service verbal reasoning test with a link to launch test in application centre. When i click the link it takes me to my pending application. However on there (civil service jobs site) it just says, you have met the minimum etc, you will be informed shortly if you have been successful etc. The same generic message is on there that i recieved upon completing the SJT? odd, maybe it was sent out by accident. Any ideas?

Did you get through to the next stage last time?I got 54% in my SJT, I was shocked because I usually do very well with SJT.

Hi, sorry I just checked last year's application. I misquoted. I actually got 79% in sjt last year, 84% in numerical reasoning and 54% in verbal reasoning

If you are eligible for the Guaranteed Interview Scheme / Disability Confident Scheme and ticked the box that could be why (as if you met the 'pre-set' minimum standard then you would automatically be moved to the next stage). Otherwise I'm not certain.

Either way, the next set of tests shouldn't be available for you to sit until 20th November (subject to change; keep an eye on emails).

No, I didn't. Must be an admin error. Thanks though, I will do

Got 66% on SJT just like last year.

last year 66% wasn't even enough to get you through to the next stage
Hy guysI have had my Judgment test on Wednesday ,I’ve got 66%.I didn’t receive yet an an e-mail with the invitation to sit on next 3 testsWhat about you?

No not yet but I would imagine that 66% is high enough as last year sjt was the second test, verbal reasoning being first. I can't imagine they will be removing over 60% of applicants at stage one considering there are 2,3 more tests, then the video interview and then a cut off point for the interview. I'm not 100% but I'm basing that off the fact there's a publicly available document online stating how many applicants applied and got through at each stage for 2018 I believe. Removing 60% would be really high, secondly last year on stage 1 I got through with like 54%.

I think you misunderstand the process. Are you assuming that "better than 66%" refers to 66% of applicants? If so, it's not. It's better than 66% of a standardised group. In principle, every single applicant could do better than 66% of the standardised group.

I don't think I received an email. I just got "you've met the minimum requirement application on hold", on the website
