In fairness, all of the people I've spoken to and the press I've read about Lehman, has given me the impression that despite all of the woes faced by the bank, employees are fiercley loyal and proud to be associated with the firm....I personally think that speaks volumes. Not like alot of other banks....

In fairness most of them will probably be unemployed in 12 months.

Time to buff up the CV if you work at Lehman.

Have always struck me as the most attractive bank whenever they send their promotion chaps along to events. Shame.

lol enjoying the security of working for RBS ei? gotta be honest I'd take an RBS job over lehman right now!
Didn't Lehman announce a $4b drop today? Not really relevant to the thread.
lol keep up with the times son, it was yesterday and it is relevant to the thread because one has to consider job security when making summer applications these days you never know (bear stearns)

Yday's earnings.

Lehman won't go bust, maybe reshuffle of management or selling some of their asset management business (which seems to be on the news everyday) but no way will they go bust or private.
okay so if i say should i go to lse or ucl? doesnt it mean i am making a choice between the two? you are confusing yourself son, GS auto filters are slipping falling and cant get up. the more was just a typo i should have deleted.

Enough with the bitching.

Inter-Company
(1). I think you may need the luck given you can't master something simple as English - I think you mean against instead of or in your sentence otherwise it makes no sense

No, or works fine. His grammer's still awful, but
who should i trust, a mere summer intern who more works in M&A or a distressed debt fund manager with 15 years banking experience and a consistent alpha generator?
makes sense as it is

Inter-Company
(2). Where did I say trust me? I don't want you to take my word ....

The facts are out there for you to find out yourself and if your distressed debt fund manager friend thinks that it will collapse as BS did then he must be very lucky at his job to reach that position

What did he base his hypothesis on then (CDS spreads haha)?

I think there's an outside chance. Given that the bids it's getting are below book value, liquidation isn't the least probable thing.

uhh you are on the brink of collapse, and I would like to help speed that process up?

Only messing :woo:
If they keep on selling their assets there won't be much left to work with...Might be interesting to go to the interviews for practice maybe if you have the time...

I feel bad for them. The people I met were so friendly and helpful.
