Reapplying for UCAS only after canceling place at university?

Hi , I currently hold a deffered place at london met for next year. However I want to try and reapply to a different course at diffrrent unis, so will I have to first cancel my place at the university. And get confirmation before I can register for 2021 UCAS?

Definitely cancel London Met. Its rubbish and the degree would not be worth much.
You can do far better than that.

What subject are you interested in and what are your achieved grades?

Yes. You cannot apply whilst holding a deferred place.

Actually you can - this year only - UCAS is allowing those holding a Firm Deferred place to reapply to other Unis and then decide 'which application' they want to cancel. See the bottom paragraph of this page : https://www.ucas.com/undergraduate/a...deferred-entry

However, for the OP - ANYWHERE is better than London Met.
